Starters I: Introduces drama to 5 and 6 year olds by exploring creative movement through the mediums of music, play-acting and storytelling. Focus is on emotion, self-expression and imagination. Emphasis on storytelling: beginning, middle and end. Role playing and improvisation to encourage self confidence in front of peers and develop concentration.
Ages 9-11 Fall/Spring: $195 Winter: $160
Emphasis on character development through improvisation such as storytelling. Students will develop their own play through improvisation and theatre games.

Emphasis on scene study and character development. Working with plays from the classic and contemporary playwrights.

Film & TV Acting I, II & III: The film programs are intended for film and TV actors, from beginner to advanced to participate in a workshop environment with their peers. They provide an opportunity to keep skills fresh between auditions, by focusing on cold reading and scene fundamentals. All classes are in rehearsal/tape/playback format and strive to bring energy, spontaneity and realism to both the audition and moment of the scene. An exciting week of "Let’s pretend" This progtram is designed to develop and exercise the children’s imaginations, confidence, body awareness and expression through dramatic excercises, games and storytelling.
Age Group : 4-6 Class Size: : 20 Time (M to F) : 9 am - 12 pm Session Fee : $125 /week G.S.T. included in fees! Bring a snack and beverages. W.E.S.T. is striving to be a nut-free environment.
Each day the students explore various techniques used in theatre presentations. Participants will take part in exercises designed to awaken and expand creative expression through improvisational theatre, dance (see note at right), voice and mime. Students will also be introduced to film acting on camera. The program will be highlighted by workshops with guest artists each session.
Each session students will attend a matinee at the Stratford Festival. Parents’ night is Thursday evening of the second week. The students will perform a play -- created by them -- applying what they have learned.
No experience is necessary - just a sense of adventure!

InMotion Dance West is pleased to integrate their summer dance camp program with W.E.S.T. this summer! Together, students will learn the value of drama and characterization through dance, the use of choreography of multiple disciplines to accentuate drama skills, as well as dance terminology and fundamentals to help add to the student’s toolbox of stage skills.
