Costin Manu is a versatile actor and director and an arts management professional. Over the last 30 years, Costin has produced over 50 professional plays and musicals and directed almost just as many, from classics, to Shakespeare, to comedies, farces and dramas. He has also worked extensively as an actor in theatre in Canada and the United States and has had numerous principal roles in film and television in Europe, Canada and the United States. He was also an Associate Producer on Broadway for the hit comedy Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks. Costin has taught numerous acting, directing and audition technique classes, as well as courses and seminars on the business side of the performing arts at many studios and venues in Ontario and the USA.
Costin was the founding Managing & Artistic Director of Victoria Playhouse Petrolia and held the same position at Theatre Cambridge. He has also run theatres in the United States, first as Executive Director of the Sandusky State Theatre in Ohio and then as Managing Director of the Gloucester Stage Company in Massachusetts. Costin was Associate Artistic Director of the First Stages Theatre Company, a former member of the Board of Directors of Third Culture Theatre, a Toronto theatre company producing shows that view the classics through a multicultural lens, and is now a member of the Board of Directors of The Foster Festival in St. Catharines and on the board of the Burlington New Millennium Orchestra.
